Purchasing Assistant
Location: Stoke On Trent - Onsite
Salary: £25,038 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant to support our clients team based in Stoke On Trent. You will help alongside the purchasing team leader to ensure that the company has the products, equipment, and materials it needs to operate smoothly. This role is open to candidates at various experience levels, and training will be provided for the right person. This is a great chance to be part of a growing team, develop your skills, and contribute to exciting projects.
Assist with raising purchase orders and tracking deliveries
Liaise with suppliers to confirm orders and resolve any issues
Maintain accurate records of purchases, stock, and supplier details
Support the purchasing team with administrative tasks
Communicate with internal teams to ensure they have the products and materials required
Support cost-saving initiatives and supplier negotiations
Assist in evaluating new suppliers and products
We are looking for someone who:
Is organised, reliable, and detail-oriented
Has good communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
Is comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with ERP systems, purchasing software, or stock management systems is a plus (examples: SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
